Lighting transforms a room, but often it is really expensive. So for one of my first freelance jobs this year I decided to transform paper lanterns into something a little more bespoke. The look here is quite pretty, and a little whimsical. Of course, you could use fabrics that are bolder, such as stripes mixed in with block colours.
