Inspired by the timeless simplicity of French market baskets, this generously sized piece is designed for modern life with a deep respect for tradition. Each one is meticulously handwoven over several hours by farming families in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations.
Crafted from durable date palm leaves, the basket’s structure is formed by weaving and sewing the natural fibres into firm, rounded bands — a method that gives it remarkable strength and resilience. Two hand-stitched leather handles offer versatility: a shorter one for hand-carrying and a longer strap to sling easily over the shoulder.
Its wide, open top makes it ideal for carrying delicate produce without crushing, while the sturdy build comfortably handles heavier loads. Whether used for market runs, beach outings, or for everyday wear, it’s designed to be both effortlessly functional and enduringly stylish.

Returns
Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery for change of mind. Items must be unused and in original condition. Return Label will be provided by Ochre and Silk. Original shipping will not be refunded.
