FORM & DETAILS

Crafted by skilled artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, each Bolga basket is made from durable Kinkanhe straw, also known as elephant grass. The grass is harvested, soaked, and tightly twisted for strength before being woven into form. Finished with hand-stitched leather handles for comfort and longevity, every basket carries the marks of the maker. Natural variations in tone, size, and weave ensure each piece is truly unique.

This versatile oval African Bolga basket is equally at home, in your home as a stylish storage option or on the go. Use it as a market basket, picnic basket, or beach carryall, or repurpose it for storing throws, shoes, or toys.
