Overview
A striking, handwoven vessel crafted in Ghana using traditional basketry techniques passed down through generations. Each piece is shaped slowly and intentionally from elephant grass, resulting in a sculptural form with rich texture, expressive patterning and a presence that feels both grounded and artful. No two are ever the same — each one carries the signature rhythm, hands and story of its maker.
Form & Details
The rounded silhouette tapers elegantly into a structured neck, creating a soft yet architectural profile. Intricate weaving techniques bring depth to the pattern, with natural fibres dyed in layered tones — from deep teal and forest greens to clay, ember and ochre hues depending on the piece. The rim is tightly wrapped for strength, while the body showcases a meticulous over-under weave that gives each vessel its unique geometry and movement.
Durable yet refined, the basket feels substantial in the hand. The texture is beautifully tactile, and the internal weave is just as considered as the exterior.
Styling Notes
This vessel is a true statement piece — one that anchors a room without overwhelming it. Style it alone on a console or sideboard as a sculptural focal point, group it with other natural textures for a layered moment, or use it as a vessel for dried foliage or branches. Its size and form make it ideal for entryways, living spaces and open shelving where height and shape can shine.
Because each piece is completely one-of-a-kind, it integrates effortlessly into both minimalist and richly curated interiors.
