Our baskets are handwoven with care and are designed to last. To maintain their beauty and functionality, we recommend to follow these guidelines:

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the colours to fade.
Keep Dry: Avoid getting the baskets wet. If they do get wet, allow them to dry naturally in a shaded area.
Clean Gently: Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe away dust and dirt. Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents.
Reshape When Needed: If your basket loses its shape, you can reshape it by lightly misting with water and gently molding it with your hands.
Storage: Store baskets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not stack heavy items on top of them to avoid deforming their shape.

Handcrafted in Ghana from resilient elephant grass, its flowing, wave-like form brings both artistry and function into your home. Recognised for its distinctive design, first created in 2013, this basket is a contemporary icon of Ghanaian craft.

FORM & DETAILS

Each basket is woven entirely by hand by master artisans in Bolgatanga. The innovative “wave” technique, now taught across the Lome region, blends tradition with modern design. Subtle variations in shape, texture, and tone reflect the individuality of the maker, ensuring no two pieces are ever alike. Durable, sculptural, and textural, it is both practical and artistic.
